In anticipation of heavy fog conditions, Indian Railways has decided to cancel services of more than 50 trains for a period of three months between December 2022 and February-March 2023. Apart from these cancellations, the railways has also announced that dozen other trains will remain partially canceled in the said period due to fog.
Rail passengers are advised to go through the list of canceled and partially canceled trains before planning their journey.
The Divisional Railway Manager of Northern Railway Lucknow Division informed that the administration has decided to completely cancel a total of 42 mail or express trains coming from Northern Railway, Lucknow Division and passing regularly through the division. Passengers can check the list of trains below as cancellations will remain in effect until the end of February or the first week of March.

Apart from this, it has been decided that the frequency of several other trains starting from Northern Railway, Lucknow division and passing through the division daily will be reduced. According to official reports, 20 trains will remain partially canceled during the period.

To ensure safe railway operations during the fog season, East Central Railway has also canceled several trains scheduled to open/arrive or pass through various stations in the division from 1 December 2022 to 28 February 2023, while reducing the days of operation. . The list of canceled trains is as follows:

Similarly, North Western Railway also informed about complete cancellation of services for these two trains in the upcoming fog season. As per the official release, train number-19611 Ajmer-Amritsar Express running from Ajmer to Amritsar will remain canceled from 1 December 2022 to 25 February 2023, while train number-19614 Amritsar-Ajmer Express running from Amritsar to Ajmer will remain canceled from 2 December 2022 to 26 February 2023.
