A special lecture was held on innovations and business opportunities in defense technologies | So Good News


V. Natarajan, former Research Scientist and Director of Research and Innovation Center (DRDO), IIT Madras Research Park, delivered a special lecture on “Innovation and Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Defense Technology” at Madurai Kamaraj University on Wednesday.

Mr. Natarajan highlighted the various achievements, achievements and current directions of the various arms of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Government of India, with special reference to the field of life sciences. He discussed DRDO’s deep sea research initiatives with the students and encouraged them to take up research directions in deep sea research.

He encouraged students to participate in internships and training programs supported by several institutes of DRDO. The importance of joint ventures between DRDO and participation of faculty members of academic research institutes through extramural research was highlighted in detail.

Chairwoman of the School of Biological Sciences S. Chandrasekaran delivered the welcome speech and M. Jayalakshmi, Assistant Professor of the School of Biological Sciences gave the vote of thanks. Madurai Kamaraj University Vice-Chancellor J. Kumar participated in the event. Graduate students, researchers and teachers took part in the event.
