ASUS announced on Friday that it became the second largest consumer computing company in India with a 20.6% market share and registered YoY growth in Q3 2022 compared to Q3 2021 when the market declined by 12 percent, according to IDC’s Worldwide Personal Computing. Equipment Tracker, 3Q22.

According to the report, HP leads the group and was the market leader in the overall PC market with a share of 23.9 percent in 3Q22 with more than 940,000 shipments.
It added that while the demand for books (> $1,000) fell sharply by 28.5 percent YoY in the commercial sector, the value of consumer books grew by 9.8 percent YoY. Apple’s strong performance and the positive appeal of ASUS’ gaming notebooks were key drivers.
