Educational Qualification for Southern Railway Recruitment 2022
Act Apprentice / ITI. No other qualification including Diploma in Engineering will be accepted as an alternative qualification.
Apprentice/ ITI certificate must be approved by SCVT/NCVT.
(Authority: RBE no. 13/2019).
For Level ‘1’ entry – 10′” pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship:
Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT. (Authority: The Railway Board’s letter no.
E(NG)ll/2017/RR-1/1/1 2 (31 92238) dated: 28.02.201 8) RBE No. 31/2018.
Specific categories in Level – ‘2’ post, Level – ‘1’ post and place of posting will be decided by the Southern Railway Administration at the time of appointment to the selected candidates.
Scouts and Guides Quota Eligibility for Southern Railway Recruitment 2022
(a) Holder of a President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger (or) Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) in any section
(b) Should have been an active member of a Scout organization for the past 5 years. The ‘Certificate of Activity’ shall be as per Annexure-I (attached); and
(c) Should have participated in two National level or All Indian Railways level events and two State level events
Syllabus for level ‘2’ and level ‘1’
Scout history / Guiding; law and promise; Organization – ‘Dist. & State level; Training center – Dist. & State level; knowledge of books; Scouting for boys/Guiding for girls in India; Motto left hand grill; Honor; Prayer; Flag Song; National Anthem; Know the national and scout flags; Social service on various occasions; Hiking; Skill badges; How are these earned?; Stages in scouting/guiding; The Day of Thinking; Progressive training of scouts/ guides/ rovers/ rangers; Groundbreaking;
crafts; Indian Railway Jamborette; National Jamboree; Jamboree on the Air.
Organization at national level; National fitness centers; WAGGGS / WOSM
Uprashtrapati Award Competition; prime minister shield competition; Community Development Programs; Objectives and methods of scouting; How is scouting useful in producing better citizens?
Procedure to Apply for Southern Railway Recruitment 2022
The candidates who apply after this notice and are found eligible to be considered for appointment will be considered on the following basis.
(A) Written Test
The written test will consist of 40 objective questions (40 marks) and 1 essay-like question (20 marks) relating to the Scouts and Guides organization and its activities and general knowledge for level – 2 and level – 1. The syllabus for this will be in according to the syllabus
(B) Marks on Certificates
I. Participation/Service rendered in National Events/National Jamboree (including all Indian Railway events):
one. The first two certificates (ie minimum qualification requirements)
b. An additional event
c. Two or more additional events
ii. Participation/service performed in state events/conventions

Note: All the candidates have to arrange their own accommodation while coming for written examination, document verification and medical examination. They must also come prepared to stay a few days if necessary. RRC will not arrange accommodation.
