POTOMAC, Md., Dec. 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — CurbioThe country’s first payment-at-closing system for real estate agents and their customers, today announced a partnership with Consumer Reports (CR), a consumer research, testing and reporting organization. The two organizations have partnered to launch the “CR recommend kitchen”, a program designed specifically for buyers who purchase a home that has been renovated by Curbio.
In the new program, a “CR certified kitchen” includes three or more major kitchen appliances that have qualified for CR certification in their categories. CR independently evaluates thousands of products each year; only those that meet its independent requirements for performance, quality, safety and reliability earn the designation “Extra”. The “CR approved kitchen” selection process will be provided to real estate agents and their clients who are renovating their homes with Curbio prior to registration. Consumer Reports will also offer Curbio’s network of salespeople and brokers access to the Upkept Relator Gifting platform, enabling Curbio realtors to purchase annual subscription packages to the Upkept home improvement program at a discounted rate.
“We are honored to work with Consumer Reports, a mission-driven nonprofit organization that empowers and informs consumers,” he says. Olivia Mariani, Chief Marketing Officer at Curbio. “With this partnership and the new CR approved kitchen program, Curbio is supporting our ability to provide real estate agents and their clients with the best way to improve their home. It also gives buyers who are purchasing a home remodeled with Curbio the peace of mind they need throughout the home buying process.”
With the launch of the new “CR approved kitchen” program, Curbio has added a large list of CR-recommended kitchen appliances to its already selected range of appliances. As with all the tools offered in the Curbio catalog, these tools can be shipped immediately after the project starts. Ordering and installation will be managed by Curbio’s internal team of building management consultants, project managers and a network of pre-tested subcontractors. By working with Curbio, real estate agents and their clients will see their projects completed 60 percent faster than a typical builder.
“The settlement builds on CR’s legacy of trusted ideas and guidelines that have helped homeowners for generations,” he said. Ted Bongiovanni, Senior Director of New Ventures at Consumer Reports. “CR’s kitchen program with Curbio allows us to reach people in difficult times and give them peace of mind when they need it most.”
