GM Wesley So started the championship match with a two-point lead, winning twice with white and drawing both games with black. Will So continue their smooth sailing towards the title or will GM Nihal Sarin take the inevitable two wins to make a comeback?

The finals of the Chess.com World Championship continue Starts Monday, November 7th at 9:00am PT / 6:00pm CET.

The 2022 Chess.com Global Championship (CGC) is the first cycle of the Chess.com World Championship open to all players certified by Chess.com. Players compete for a share of the $1,100,000 prize pool and the title of Chess.com Global Champion in official Chess.com-sanctioned events.

Chess legends such as Directors Viswanathan Anand, Vasyl Ivanchuk, Vladimir Kramnik and Veselin Topalov compete against today’s best (online) players, including Major General Hikaru Nakamura, Dean Leeren, Levon Aronian and Jan-Krzysztof Duda, among others.
