IIT New Delhi conducts innovation fair | So Good News

Hyderabad: For the first time, IITs from across India will come together to host the fair, which will showcase innovations ranging from healthcare to defence.
The inaugural session will be graced by the Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan. Chairman BoG IIT Hyderabad (IITH) and Chairman IIT Roorkee have been appointed to the Steering Committee headed by BoG IIT Madras Chairman Dr. Pawan Goenka and Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy to oversee the event.
The event, named IInvenTiv, aims to create holistic awareness of the research and innovation work being done by IITs and to find ways of collaboration between public universities and institutes, industry and IITs for better development and access to innovation at grassroots level.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof BS Murthy, Director, IITH said, “IITH has a strong focus on innovation and our philosophy is reflected in our motto ‘Inventing and Innovating Technologies for Humanity (IITH)’. The demonstration of these 7 technologies shows how our goals align with the concept of thinking globally and acting locally to realize our Honorable Prime Minister’s vision of Atama Nirbhar Bharat.
“I am confident that such efforts will increase exponentially in the near future. Over 100 of our startups have created over 1,000 jobs and generated revenue of over Rs. 800 million income,” he added
Notably, out of 75 innovations selected from IITs for the fair, six are from IIT Hyderabad. The innovations of IIT Hyderabad are given below
- Communication technologies (including education and 5G)
- ArmAble
- DuroKea technology
- nLite360TM
- A quick-to-deploy lightweight bridge system
- Environment and sustainability (including air, water and rivers)
- Electric vehicle
