InsurTech Hartford announces the winners of the 2022 InsurTech Hartford Innovation Challenge

HARTFORD, Conn., Nov. 18, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — InsurTech Hartford (ITH), a growing InsurTech ecosystem with global startup, agent/broker, insurer, solution provider and investor builders, is pleased to announce the winners. 2022 InsurTech Hartford Innovation Challenge (Innovation Challenge), in partnership with ACORD, the industry’s oldest standards association.

“I’ve heard some people say that the InsurTech movement and the innovation that comes with it has slowed down, but based on this year’s Innovation Challenge nominations, I disagree,” said ITH Founder Stacey Brown. “Innovation in the insurance industry is getting more attention than ever before. The categories that received the most support from insurance companies in 2022 were those that were in the headlines throughout the year, including data solutions and cyber. We are very excited about the part the Innovation Challenge will play in bringing these solutions to the world. »

Practically held to encourage participation from insurance professionals in the Hartford area, as well as across the country and the world, the Innovation Challenge attracted numerous nominations in three categories: Innovative Underwriting Data Collection Solution, Cyber Risk Prevention and Mitigation Technology, and Best Emerging InsurTech. Narrowed down to the top startups in each category, final presentations and judging took place on Monday, November 14.

Sponsored by EMC Insurance (EMC), The Hartford, Launc[H]artford and Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB), the evaluation process included individuals from ITH management and representatives from Launc insurance company.[H]artford. Bees360 is the winner in the newest underwriting data collection solution category and will receive a $10,000 prize from The Hartford. Haventec won first place in the Cyber Threat Prevention and Mitigation Technology category and will receive a $10,000 prize from HSB. Finally, Ahoy!
