Intermed Labs at Mon Health won the Best Innovation Award at the National Plastic Surgery Conference | So Good News

Thousands of plastic, reconstructive and hand surgeons from around the world gathered in Boston, MA on Friday, October 28th during the ASPS National Meeting. Dr. Tom McClellan, founder of Intermed Labs at Mon Health, went up against three other finalists from Dartmouth University, Pittsburgh Medical Center and the University of Washington, who were selected from among many applications from across the country.

The panel’s judges included prominent medical innovators, venture capitalists, and a former president of ASPS. The Top Innovator Award also included a $10,000 cash prize that will be used to further advance the project.

Fingy3D is a 3D printed prosthetic finger that can be ordered on demand at Fingy3D.com. The revolutionary product aims to improve access, cost and function for patients with partial loss of a finger or hand.

The device is in its final stages and will soon begin pilot testing with hand surgery patients and surgeons at the University of Washington in Seattle and Emory University in Atlanta.
