Indian Railways’ Central Railway, Mumbai Division will operate Mega Block on its suburban sections to carry out various engineering and maintenance works today. Western Railway will not have any day block today but there will be a night block on this stretch.
Mega block on the central railway line:
There will be a mega block on the Matunga – Mulund Up and Down Fast Lines from 11.05-15.55. Fast services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.25 to 15.35, will be diverted on slow line between Matunga and Mulund stopping at stations as per their respective schedule. Fast trains outside Thane will be diverted on express line and will arrive at their destination 15 minutes behind schedule.
Up-fast services leaving Thane from 10.50 to 15.46 will be diverted on the Up slow line between Mulund and Matunga, at stations according to their respective timetables.
Furthermore, these Up fast services will be diverted on the Up fast line and will arrive at their destination 15 minutes behind schedule.
Mega Block on the Harbor Line
There will be a mega block on the Vashi Up and Down Harbor Lines from 11.10 to 16.10.
On Harbor Line services to Panvel/Belapur/Vashi leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 10.34 am to 3.36 pm, and Up Harbor line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 10.16 to 15.47, remains cancelled.
However, as per irctc, special services will run on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Kurla and Panvel – Vashi sections during the block period.
Harbor line passengers are allowed to travel via Thane-Vashi/Nerul stations from 10.00 to 18.00 in the block period.
Mega Block on the Western Line
There is no mega block on this route, but there will be a night block.
A 4 hour Jumbo Block will be conducted on the UP and Slow and Down Fast lines between Goregaon and Santacruz stations. These Jumbo blocks are shipped from 12:25 to 04:24. These blocks are carried out to carry out maintenance work of tracks, overhead equipment.
During this period, all Down Fast line trains will run on Down Slow line and all Up slow line suburban trains will run on Up Fast line between Santacruz and Goregaon stations, irctc has said.
Apart from this, all slow suburban services will use a double stop at Vile Parle station and there will be no stop at Ram Mandir station.
