Railways to recruit 2500 10th pass, apply by December 17; “…16 lakh jobs every month” | So Good News

West Central Railway has released a recruitment notification inviting applications from interested and eligible candidates to apply for Apprentice posts.

Candidates can apply for the railway jobs online by visiting the official site of WCR at wcr.indianrailways.gov.in. The deadline for applying for the railway apprentice positions is 17 December 2022.

WCR is likely to fill up a total of 2521 posts through this recruitment drive.

educational qualifications

Candidates applying must have completed 10th grade or equivalent with a minimum of 50 percent marks, in aggregate, from a recognized board or institution.

Besides, candidates must also have the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.

Age limit

The minimum age to apply for the apprenticeship positions is 15 years, while the upper age limit for the same is 24 years.

Application Fees

The candidates have to pay Rs 100 as application fee. Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, Women have been exempted from this payment.

On the other hand, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Tuesday that around 16 lakh jobs are generated every month by the Centre.

Addressing a ‘Rozgar Mela’ (job fair) program organized in Ajmer by the Central Reserve Police Force, Vaishnaw claimed that around 16 lakh jobs are created every month by the central government and transparency is the key of the Narendra Modi government.

“India has emerged as an energy source with full of opportunities even in the situation of global economic crisis,” the railway minister added.
