Hyderabad– Adding another feather to its cap; Hyderabad integrated design for rockets; It will soon be home to a manufacturing and testing facility.

Skyroot Aerospace, which successfully launched India’s first privately built rocket Vikram-S, has proposed setting up a facility in Hyderabad.

Participating in Skyroot’s Vikram-S Launch Success Meet held at T-Hub, IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao said the state government is ready to provide the necessary land and other support. He said that supporting companies like Skyroot Aerospace from the initial stage is a matter of pride for Telangana and assured all support in its future endeavors on behalf of the state government.

“This is an important occasion for the country’s space achievements and a proud moment for Hyderabad. The success of Skyroot has brought global recognition to T-Hub in Hyderabad, especially in the aerospace sector,” he said. He said Telangana’s new space technology policy encourages rocket manufacturing and testing in Hyderabad.

The minister said that it is not an easy achievement to successfully launch a complex test like a rocket into space. He said it was possible only with the cooperation of Skyroot.

Investors are not showing much interest in rocket production, but their thought process will change in the coming days, he pointed out. “Hyderabad is expected to become an aerospace capital in the future. Another Hyderabad-based firm, Dhruva, will soon launch a satellite as well,” he declared, confident that India would soon witness another success story.

Skyroot Aerospace management has announced that the company plans to expand further with Hyderabad as its aerospace headquarters. Acknowledging the role of T-Hub and T-Works in providing great advice, the company’s management thanked the state government and the minister for their support in the success.

Company spokesperson Pawan said the 200 employees of Skyroot Aerospace are happy that their hard work has paid off. He said that success can be attributed to the presence of skilled personnel for various sectors related to the space sector and the ability to support the ecosystem in Hyderabad.
