Anyone up for a virtual bun fight?
Platform will host the family-friendly Ultimate Muffin Fighting Championship on Saturday afternoon as part of Calgary Innovation Week.
Organized by startup Red Iron Labs, Bun Fight is actually a gaming competition.
“Test your virtual fighting power at the third Ultimate Muffin Championship,” says Platform Calgary’s website promoting Innovation Week.
“The Muffins will play each other in a (best-of-three) tiebreaker bracket,” he added. “Consoles/consoles will be provided.”
If bun fighting isn’t your thing, check out Super Smash Bros., Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Squad Strike is recommended.
The event is free, but organizers ask players to bring a Nintendo Switch for Ultimate.
Registration closes at 2:00 p.m
Doors open at noon and the event will be held in the Calgary Platform East Annex, 407 Ninth Avenue SE from 1 to 6 p.m.
