Pune, November 18, 2022: Along with their regular duties, the employees of Pune Railway Division continue to assist passengers and help them recover lost items.
According to the message issued by Manoj Jhanwar, Public Relations Officer of Pune Division, Pune Chief TTE YP Kurhade and RN Katkar were on duty in Train No. 11030 Kolhapur-Mumbai Koyna Express from Kolhapur to Pune when they were informed by a passenger that a passenger lay unconscious in the passage of the bus. Hearing this, both the TTEs immediately reached the unconscious passenger and helped him regain consciousness. They gave him water and biscuits and took him to the seat.
A few days ago, Sandeep Kumar Arjun Mali, Manager TTE/Miraj was on duty in train number 17318 Dadar-Hubli Express from Pune to Miraj. While checking the tickets of the passengers, he found a golden mangal-sutra on a bunk of the sleeping coach. Upon inquiry with the passengers in the bus, it was found that the passenger in the aforementioned berth got off at Sangli station. On hearing this, Kumar immediately informed the Sangli Station Master that if any passengers inquire at the station about the said jewellery, they should contact him. After the train reached Miraj, Kumar traced the mobile number from the PNR of the said female passenger and informed her to come to Miraj station to get back the gold jewellery. After proper verification, the ornament was returned to the passenger in the presence of CTI/Miraj.
The woman expressed her gratitude and thanked the railway administration.
For the above work, Divisional Railway Manager Renu Sharma honored all the three Principal TTEs. She said that this work done by the employees is highly commendable and Pune Railway Division is proud of them for their humane and honest work. Additional Divisional Railway Manager Brijeshkumar Singh and Senior Divisional Manager Dr. Milind Hirve were also present on the occasion.
