Jerusalem, Nov 25 (IANS) Reigning Chess Olympiad champions Uzbekistan drew 2-2 against India 2.5-1.5 in a double-header semi-final, including victories over Javohir Sindarov Nihal Sarin and Nodirbek Yakubboev Vidit. Gujrathi — Men’s World Team Chess Championship final.
China also reached the finals of the tournament held in Jerusalem.
In the doubleheader semifinals, China drew 2-2 with Spain, then Lu Shanglei and Bai Jingshi beat Jaime Santos Latasa and Alexei Shirov to win the second match 3-1.
In addition to the double finals on Friday night, Spain and India will compete twice for third place in the tournament organized by the International Chess Federation (FIDE).
